Challenging Myself

It’s Invasion Day and I completely forgot about it. I hope everyone has a good, safe day. Stay cool.

Anyway, remember how I said I thought 2000 words would be too hard? Well, my husband challenged me to do it the other day. As a joke, of course, but those little jokes always turn out to be right, so I did. Now I’m continuing it every day.

How can I explain the feeling? It’s like, the more I write, even with burnout, the more I’ll have a breakthrough of sorts. Therefore, I feel more free to write, and more ideas come through.

While I do so, I watch AuthorTube and BookTube. If there’s no more, I listen to music, or switch to another YouTube video. Specifically one about The Simpsons or K-Pop. Mr H (my husband) and I are currently watching Miss Back. The politics of it has interested him, though he’s a very casual listener.

Of course, I take breaks every 500 words for coffee, chocolate, or a walk in fresh air. And I’ve equated 500 words to a whole page in Scrivener. Where there’s sparse scenes, I try my best to fill the whole page with it. Tough, but fulfilling.

Welp, I’m gonna go read. If you’re not in Australia, make sure you have a good day too. Stay warm.
